-- You Never Know What You Are Truly Capable Of Doing Until You Try -- Writer and Baker? I have been meaning to share this post with you all since last summer! If you can't tell from all of my blogs, I find joy and peace in writing. I took a creative writing class during my sophomore year of college. Weirdly enough, I was a little apprehensive about taking that course because a majority of it was focused on poetry. I love writing, but I literally can't stand writing poetry. I think it comes down to the fact that I just don't have a knack for it. This being said I do greatly appreciate those who are gifted in this department and am in awe of the beauty they can create with words alone.  Anyways, our final project for this class was to submit one of the pieces we worked on throughout the year to a publisher of our choosing in hopes of being published in a literary journal. Life Lately!

Life has been so busy, but oh so good! So far in May, I have:
  • Finished my sophomore year of college! (Most importantly survived Chemistry!)
  • Proctored and facilitated about every test imaginable (AP, SAT, Kindergarten...you name it and I've probably done it recently)
  • Made 13 dozen custom cookies and 6 dozen cupcakes (Baked and flooded five more dozen yesterday!!)
  • Welcomed two of my cousins home!!
  • Started my summer job (I mean I start tomorrow, but it still counts right?)
As you might see, my life has been slightly chaotic and hectic lately and it is only May 9th! (*Special Happy Birthday to my best friend Reagan!) Has it been stressful? At times, yes! Has it been worth it? Absolutely! I am so grateful when I have busy baking months like these because it means I have the opportunity to create some really fun things. It is truly a delight to bring all of your creative ideas to life.

Because I have spent the first week of May finishing up papers and taking exams, I decided to do more of a photo gallery post of sorts. I am tired of writing, but the projects I have recently finished are just too great not to share with you all! Sit back with your coffee in hand, relax, and enjoy looking at cookies disguised as art. Without further ado...
