Oh, hello!

I will be doing a "get to know me" post by popular demand! While I love talking about cookies, I will take a short break and share more about my life! Prepare yourself for Libbey fun facts, never-before-seen photos, and a relaxing read!

1. Family is my EVERYTHING!
• What better way to kick this post off than by talking about my favorite people! I would not be who I am today if it weren't for my family. Their support is constant, encouragement is prevalent, and love is truly endless!

• Little fam introduction! My mom is a first-grade teacher, the best if I do say so myself. My dad is a K-12 principal at the school I attended for 13 years! SO crazy, right? Levi, my brother, works for the Department of Public Safety doing some really cool stuff. (Sorry Levi, I never know how to properly describe your job). Can't forget about Larry! Larry is the little brother I never knew I needed. He is 100% English Golden Retriever and 100% spoiled. 

Despite popular belief, Larry despises attention from the camera. Nonetheless, here he is in all of his glory!

    2. I Love XC Skiing!

• I didn't learn how to XC ski until my freshman year of high school (and let me just say I've never been more humbled in my life) and it has become one of my favorite pastimes. The beauty of Alaska really helps my motivation to opt out onto the trails! I pretty much only classic ski these days because skate skiing has always, and will always be, my biggest enemy. I am always looking for ski buddies, so hit me up if you are down for an unforgettable ski experience :)

    3. I. CAN'T. STAND. DRIVING.

• If you know me, you know I was very late to the driving game. What kid doesn't want to drive once they get their license? That was me....and still is me. I don't know what it is, but I absolutely despise driving. The amount of time I waste stressing about places I have to drive to later in the week is embarrassing, to say the least. Soooo if you ever offer me a ride, you will immediately become one of my favorite people ever.

My minivan in all its glory! Minivans are the best cars and you can't convince me otherwise.

    4. Salty Over Sweet!

• This might confuse some with me owning a bakery business and all. Honestly, it is the best case possible. I am at the point where the cookies I bake don't really entice me anymore. Salty snacks on the other hand...can't get enough of them. 

    5. STARBUCKS!

• Some might think I have a problem, but I call it a lifestyle. If I had a second home, it would be Starbucks. Last year I totaled up the amount of money I spent on coffee, and let's just say it was a little too high for my liking. Alas, the habit is still alive and stronger than ever. Do you have those places that you venture to and are overcome by immediate comfort? Where the worries and stressors of your day begin to slowly drift away? Yeah, me too! That place, my friends, is Starbucks.

    6. What do you carry around in your purse?

• Full disclosure, I have never been one to carry a purse. Until recently! I got a purse for Christmas and let me just say....game changer! I don't know why I carried everything around in my hands for years. Needless to say, I now understand the hype. Look below for my purse contents. 

• Purse Breakdown:
• Wallett, obviously!
• Kaladi gift cards in case I have the urge to cheat on Starbucks for a day.
• A glue stick in case of an impromptu crafting project!
• Spray on hand sanitizer because it's cute and essential.
• Vaseline lip balm that I honestly need to remove because it doesn't work well on my lips.
• Coloring sheet I picked up from Starbucks because who doesn't love coloring?
• Two lip glosses in case I am feeling like a fancy lady. 
• Starbucks cup stoppers because they save the interior of your car. 

    7. Favorite Color?

• PINK! Specifically light pink. Yesterday,  I was wearing a light pink shirt, took my computer out of my light pink highlighted bag with its light pink case, and checked my phone with its light pink phone case. Safe to say that light pink is my absolute fav. 

    8. Hugs? Not a fan. Hand Holding? Definitely not a fan.

• Most everyone I know, knows not to go in for the hug or handshake with me. (Handshakes are fine for introductions, but hand-holding is probably high up on my top 10 most disliked things in life.) I've never been a touchy-feely person and honestly don't think I ever will be. Because of this, I've never been a hugger. I am pretty sure every time I reunite with Reagan she makes a point to pull me into a 10-second hug. Not even sure I want to get into my reasons for not liking hand-holding. It's my least favorite thing and we will leave it at that. Still patiently waiting for the lucky guy who will change my opinions of hand-holding.

Despite my somewhat lengthy rant, this hug was enjoyable :)

    9. Little League Libbey!

• Growing up I was very involved in Little League baseball! I think one of my dad's happiest moments was when he coached and we were the Red Sox. I think one of his saddest moments was when he assistant coached and we were the Yankees. Him wearing that Yankee hat was a real act of love.  

    10. Running is my Kryptonite. 

• I have never not been in excruciating pain while running and this is the main reason why I don't care for it. Ironically, I still have managed to endure four high school seasons of running, a half-marathon, and a 10k this past summer. 

    11.  Hobbies, Hobbies, Hobbies!

• I pride myself in indulging in a wide variety of hobbies! Hobbies are truly a delight! Some of my hobbies include: scrapbooking, knitting, reading, baking, hiking, blogging, writing letters (If you want some mail, send me your address! I LOVE LOVE LOVE writing letters), decorating my planner (It's an art! Planner move-in day is an actual thing.), and the list goes on! I am always up to explore a new hobby! The only hobby I have sworn to never doing again...roller skiing. May or may not have taken a massive layer of my skin off falling to my doom at Kincaid Park.

    12. True Crime!

• I love watching, listening, and reading anything that has to do with true crime. When I am cookie decorating, I legitametly listen to hours upon hours of Dateline podcasts. I am pretty sure I am at the point where I have watched every true crime documentary on Netflix, Hulu, and Peacock. Have any true crime recs? Let me know!
